MEETING 03-95-98

Dave called the meeting to order at 7:15 PM.

Roll Call: John, Roger, Pat, William, Bob, Charlie, Gary, Dave A, Dave I, Ron, and Jan at 7:25.

Dave I asked for the minutes to be accepted, and Bob motioned and Gary seconded.  The ayes were unanimous.

President’s report – Dave I had nothing to report.

Vice President’s report – Roger had nothing to report.

Secretary’s report – Ron had nothing to report.

Treasure’s report – Dave A said that $2370.76 was the balance as of this month, with $200 to be added by the Club Rendezvous.  Pat said we should add about $650 from membership dues.  Pay out is the NMLRA memberships for Deni and Bob totaling $62.50.

OLD BUSINESS

The archery targets were paid, but we ended up with a extra big bear that was the wrong stance.  Charlie said we could pay an additional $150 for the target as we had gotten the bear we ordered recently that was sent separately, or pay for the bear to be shipped back to the store.  Dave I said to buy the extra bear, rather have to ship it back.

Charlie also brought up the Blue Jacket Match.  The plaques that we send to the rendezvous winners will their scoring single with a medallion.  The club thought the single was very attractive.  We will score for the overall winner from the delivered singles.  There is no money or prize for the winner, but Pete has come down a hundred dollars in price.  We can put a range donation of up to $1 at the SE Rendezvous and/or can sell bamboo whistles for $3.

Patty summarized the Ochlockonee River Rendezvous  funds generated.  It was about $1200 with $380 from the auction and $760 for registration fees.

John went over the Beau Turner Youth Conservation Center Outdoor Experience on March 7, 2009.  Try to be there at 8:30 AM so we can be ready to start at 9:00 AM.  We will be in the same spot which is down the road past the marsh ponds.  We have the balloons, and will use clothes pins.  We can use hay bales if any.  Bob said he would bring the 2 end pieces of a stand with the tie rod that has all the wires to hold the balloons and clothes pins.  John said that we have 7 with Gary for the instruction and loading.

Pat said that next year the Ochlockonee River Rendezvous boshway will be Gary, and the secondo will be Dave A.  Dave I said there plenty of prizes left from the last club rendezvous.

NEW BUSINESS

Dave A said he had room for 5 this weekend with 2 already coming for the range officer certification for the SE Rendezvous this spring.  This will be at the club shoot, and there will be 55 questions.

Pat had 3 new members from the Ochlockonee River Rendezvous, Detlef “Dee” Lambertus (from Germany), Wendy D Hicks, and Rickey L Connell.  Dave I said that Dee and Wendy have been to numerous events.  Ricky was to a couple of shoots.  Dave I asked for a motion to vote on membership for the three, and John motioned and Bob seconded.  The ayes were unanimous.  Pat said we should send a letter to each.

Ron then brought up the idea of putting more customized parts to the letters so they do not become to routine.  The club agreed to this, but Gary send a sample by email.

Jan said Kent would send a picture of the rifle with Michael and Kent, and a letter of thanks to Sportsman Warehouse for the donation of the rife.  Remember the $10 off for a $50 or more purchase.

Dave I asked for a motion to close the meeting, and Dave A motioned to close the meeting with John seconded.  The ayes were unanimous at 7:50 PM.

Roger did clean up.
