Jan W. reported that Dave asked him to report that he had not had any
transactions since the last meeting.
Old Business:
Tall Timbers: Dave
reported that the date for Tall Timbers Youth Day is Saturday, September
30. The time will be 8:00-1:00pm. Be there about 7:30
am. Let John Cole know if you can help.
2007 Club Rendezvous: Johnny reported for Jackie that the 2007
Rendezvous committee had met and had 3 proposals for the club.
1. Proposed to move the rendezvous into
the Trade Faire time slot, as the Trade Faire will not be held next year.
This proposal is made so that the people who usually attend from out of town
would not have a week between their usual schedules and the rendezvous.
William is going to the Eastern and will touch base with several to see if it
would be better for them if we changed the date.
2. A list
has been put together asking members for help doing certain things for the
rendezvous. Contact Jackie to see what you have been asked to volunteer
to do. Or contact her and volunteer to help.
3. They are
suggesting having a raffle and an auction for the prizes.
2006 Eastern Rendezvous: William/Katherine and
Dwayne/Laurie will be going to the Eastern.
Scout Camporee: Weekend of 3-5 Nov:
William reported that he has done some mowing at the scout camp site.
Site will probably need another cutting before the camporee. He reported
that Hines B. has said he is expecting about 200 boys. Some of the Scouts
cut up some wood and there is plenty left to be cut up.
August Shoot Report:
Deni was not present to give the official report.
New Business:
Dave announced that he
has flyers for the 2006 Georgia Muzzle Championships to be held in Lenox,
Georgia the weekend of 23 September. (About 50 miles up I-75 from GA/FLA
line).
September Shoot will be
this Sunday starting at 1:00 pm. William discussed changing the site to
incorporate shooting at longer ranges (up to100 yards).
William reported that
the 2007 Eastern Rendezvous should be a good one as it will be on a new site
(either PA or OH). It was also reported that the rendezvous would be run
by Bubbles AKA Dipsy Doodle. (You’ll have to ask Jan or William about
this one.)
