Who are The Jefferson Longrifles?

The Jefferson Longrifles is a Muzzle Loading Rifle Club, made up of individuals who subscribe to the principles of the National Rendezvous and Living History Foundation and the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association.

A Non-Profit Corporation

The Longrifles are chartered as a not-for-profit corporation in the State of Florida, and is affiliated with the NRLHF and NMLRA.  Club members hold regularly scheduled meetings once a month, along with muzzle loading rifle and primitive archery matches.  Club members also conduct special education programs for civic and youth groups, hold outdoor field activities and participate in historical events throughout the year.  These include re-enactments, rendezvous, hunting trips and social get-togethers.

We promote, support, nurture and preserve the NRLHF/NMLRA and our nation's rich heritage in the sport of muzzle loading and primitive archery through recreational, educational and cultural venues such as:

·  Match competition

·  Hunting

·  Gun making and safety

·   Historical re-enactments

· Exhibits

·  Museums

·  Libraries

·  Other related programs
